Title I Information

Hopewell will hold their annual meeting at a back to school event to inform families of Title 1 and Title 3 offerings, explain requirements, share the Title 1 compact, and explain your Title 1 rights as a parent.

• The Hopewell Reading Team will meet regularly to plan family engagement activities and share how to support students. 

• Interventionists will also meet with families through phone calls, emails, and newsletters to review progress and discuss what resources are needed to support students. A reading report card will be sent out 4 times each school year to share specific reading progress and ways parents can support.

Parents will receive Title 1 updates throughout the year through flyers, the Hopewell family newsletter that goes out weekly.

Families are invited to share ideas and offer feedback and suggestions of how to improve Title 1 through surveys or by emailing Mrs. Cofer (coferk@parkhill.k12.mo.us) or Ms. Amensen (amensenk@parkhill.k12.mo.us).

• Hopewell classroom teachers and interventionists will share a description of the curriculum in use during tier 2 and tier 3 interventions, forms of assessment used to measure student progress and proficiency levels students are expected to meet. 

• Students’ progress towards their reading goals will be shared through progress reports and at parent teacher conferences.

Each year families will receive an NWEA report (K-5) and/or MAP assessment (3-5).  

Parents will fill out at least one survey annually.  All surveys are anonymous and will be used to help us plan family engagement events and will be used to improve our Title 1 plan.
