Principal: Dr. Melissa Hensley

Dr. Melissa Hensley serves as the principal at Hopewell Elementary. 

Dr. Hensley joined Park Hill in 2014 as Renner’s principal, after serving as an administrator at the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. Before that, she was a first-grade teacher, a literacy coach, a Title I reading instructor and an elementary professional development implementer.

Dr. Hensley received the 2016 Exemplary New Principal award from the Missouri Association of Elementary School Principals.  Dr. Hensley has a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education, Master of Education in K-12 Reading and Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from Saint Louis University.

Megan Brethower began her career with the Park Hill School District in 2013 as a fifth grade teacher at Southeast Elementary and received the Park Hill Star award in 2018.  Megan looks forward to connecting with Hopewell Elementary and building relationships with the students, staff, and parents!

Her degrees include a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education as well as a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Missouri.  Megan completed her Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Baker University.
